Which weight should I choose — 3 lb or 5 lb?+
Both Buds are 20" tall. The 3 lb is a lighter calm that suits roughly ages 3–8; the 5 lb gives deeper pressure and is popular for ages 8+, teens, and adults. Go lighter if you're unsure.
What's the difference between Duke, Cleo, Dex, and Stella?+
Only the character. Every Bud is the same 20" plush with the same weighting and build — Duke the Dog, Cleo the Cat, Dex the Dinosaur, and Stella the Sloth just have different faces and personalities.
What's inside them, and what are they made of?+
A soft, durable polyester fleece exterior over evenly distributed weighted poly pellets that create the deep-pressure feel. The weighting is sewn into internal compartments so it stays balanced.
Are Cuddle Buds safety tested?+
Yes. Cuddle Buds are tested to ASTM F963-23, are CPSIA compliant (lead & phthalate safe), and we keep a Children's Product Certificate (CPC) on file. Schools and healthcare buyers can request our CPC and third-party test reports.
How do I clean my Cuddle Bud?+
Spot-clean with mild soap and warm water, then air dry. Because of the internal weighting we don't recommend machine washing or drying, which can shift the pellets and stress the seams.
Are they a medical device or treatment?+
No. Cuddle Buds are a comfort and sensory-support product, not a medical device, and nothing here is medical advice. If you have specific clinical needs, check with your care provider.
